GeoRide, Monimoto, Invoxia, TRAKmy, HOROTAG GPS... We compare it all: price, battery life, hidden subscriptions, features.

01Why "no subscription" changes everything
A GPS tracker at €199 + €5/month for 5 years = €499 in total. A tracker at €299 with no subscription = €299, full stop. Over the lifetime of a motorcycle (5-10 years), the subscription costs more than the tracker itself.

03Our verdict, by rider profile
You want the best value with zero recurring cost
→ HOROTAG GPS (€299). 4G IoT SIM included for 10 years, no subscription, maintenance logbook thrown in. The only tracker that doubles as a bike logbook. Every motorcycle, dirt bikes included.
You want an ultra-compact tracker for a road sportsbike
→ GeoRide MINI (€199 + €5/month). The smallest on the market, wired to the battery, real-time tracking. But the subscription adds up fast.
You want the cheapest possible option
→ Invoxia Classic (€109 with 3 years included). But Sigfox/LoRa means patchy coverage in rural areas. Only 6 months of battery life.
You want the most detailed track of every ride
→ HOROTAG ULTIMATE GPS (€399). Detailed real-time GPS track, real-time anti-theft, ultra-rugged casing, up to ~10 years of battery life, no subscription. Built for demanding road riding as much as for mud and vibration. Engine hours entered by hand.
What you really want is to track your engine hours
→ HOROTAG RUUVI (€129). It isn't a GPS tracker: it's an automatic Bluetooth hour meter plus maintenance logbook. Pair it with a tracker if you want position as well.
04Traps to avoid
1. "No subscription" but a SIM you pay for
Some trackers advertise "no subscription" but require you to buy an IoT SIM separately (€5-10/year). Check that the SIM is included.
2. Advertised vs real battery life
Advertised battery life is always calculated against a specific reporting rhythm. Tighten up the position interval and the battery life drops. HOROTAG GPS quotes up to 5 years at its real rhythm: one position every 4 hours when parked, every 30 minutes when movement is detected.
3. Network coverage
Sigfox and LoRa have gaps in rural areas (forests, mountains). 4G LTE-M has the widest coverage (equivalent to standard 4G, with better indoor penetration).
Tracker + anti-vol pour tous motards, c'est HOROTAG GPS.
Position toutes les 4 h / 30 min en mouvement, anti-vol passif, carnet manuel scellé. 299 €, SIM 4G IoT 10 ans incluse, aucun abonnement.
