A detailed GPS track, corner by corner
The difference between a tracker that tells you where your bike is and one that redraws your ride comes down to a single thing: how often it takes a fix. HOROTAG ULTIMATE GPS takes a GPS fix every 30 seconds while riding and reports a position every 10 minutes. On a mountain road, that produces a track that follows the hairpins instead of cutting across the valley.
Every ride becomes a dated trip in the app: distance, duration, full route, replayable. Rides stack up in a history that belongs to the bike, not to some third-party cloud account, and that follows the bike at resale along with the sealed service log.
Parked, the device drops to one position every 5 hours. On unexpected movement, the alert fires and tracking switches to real time: it is the same anti-theft engine as HOROTAG GPS, but with a far finer tracking resolution during the chase.
Ultra-rugged case, IP68 waterproof, replaceable lithium battery, 3 to 6 years of life depending on use: around 6.5 years for one ride a week, around 3.4 years for two. 4G IoT SIM included for ten years, no subscription.
Which bikes it makes most sense on
On a sportbike, a café racer or a roadster, the value is as much in the track as in the anti-theft: you come back from a ride and watch the whole thing again. Does it count engine hours automatically?
No. Like HOROTAG GPS, it is a tracker: hours are entered by hand in the log. Automatic vibration-based counting only exists on HOROTAG RUUVI, which can be fitted to the same bike. That is what the €499 bundle is for. Discover HOROTAG RUUVI (€129)
Does the detailed track drain the battery faster?
Yes, by design: that is the price of resolution. 3 to 6 years depending on how often you ride, against 2 to 4.5 years on HOROTAG GPS, which reports less often. The battery is replaceable and the app shows the remaining level as a percentage.
Is a subscription needed for real-time tracking?
No. The €399 includes the device, the app and the 4G IoT SIM for ten years. Real-time tracking, trip history and alerts are in the price, with no paid options.
Does it work abroad?
Yes, the IoT SIM is multi-operator and roams across Europe. Tracking continues through a trip or a cross-border ride with nothing to change.
How is it fitted?
